Vintage Mexico Maya Chac Mool of Chichen Itza Sterling Silver Pendant

ayquebella.com

Intricately designed, pendant of a pre-Columbian, Mesoamerican Chac-Mool statue in sterling silver, skillfully made in Mexico. The Chac-Mool (or Chacmool or Chaacmol) depicts a reclining rain spirit warrior, with his head turned to one side, supporting himself on his elbows with his knees bent, and holding a bowl or a disk on his stomach. The ancient sculptures of Chacmool represent slain warriors carrying sacrificial offerings to the gods. The pendant has a shiny finish with a light patina, but may need a light polish if desired.
