Vintage Colombia Coin Bracelet with Raw Emeralds & Green Beads

Fascinating and intricately designed, vibrant green, raw emerald and green bead, coin bracelet from La República de Colombia. Five coin disks are linked together to create a very fine bracelet. Two natural, earth-mined and uncut, raw emeralds and two green acrylic beads alternate with four intricately designed disks of pre-Columbian, warrior deities and one 50-cent piece. The four of the five coin silver disks are fashioned into tribal figures similar to the rudimentary deities found in San Agustín Archaeological Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Southwestern Andes of Colombia, and bear a striking resemblance to these figures of strength, gods, and heroes.
The center disk is a 1934 Cincuenta Centavos coin, with an image of the Colombian coat of arms on the front, and political and military leader, Simón Bolívar, on the back. The deities in the first and the fourth disk are cradling a green acrylic bead and the second and the fifth disks have an actual raw emerald. The raw emerald on the second disk has a bit of ageing and may require a gentle polishing by a reputable jeweler of your choosing.
