Vintage Paraguay Folklorico Hand Carved Wood Pendant with Cord Necklace

Gorgeous, hand-carved, folk art, wood pendant from Paraguay, “El Corazón de Sudamérica” (“The Heart of South America”). The pendant depicts a beautiful woman with a traditional, folklore blouse and her long hair braided to one side. The pendant is coated with a very light, lacquer or varnish sealant which protects the wood and will continue to preserve the pendant for many more years to come. The back of the pendant shows signs of wear which is consistent with its age. The pendant comes with a black cord necklace with silver lobster-claw clasp and is meant to be worn with great pride.
