Vintage 1909 Mexico Un Peso Silver Coin Pendant

ayquebella.com

The Republic of Mexico introduced this "new" one peso coin during the presidency of Porfirio Díaz from 1898 to 1909. These pesos followed the 1897 discontinuation of coinage denominated in reales and were used until the introduction of the Caballito peso in 1910. This large and lovely piece of wearable Mexican history has a very light, undisturbed, natural patina and will be a definite attention grabber on your favorite necklace.
