Beautiful in its simplicity is this Ichthus Jesus fish and cross sterling silver pendant. The Ichthus or Ichthys was a secret symbol ancient Christians used in order to practice their faith while avoiding Roman persecution. The Jesus fish also known as the sign of the fish is of the Greek Koine fish symbol which represents two stories from the New Testament: the miracle of the feeding of the 5,000 by the multiplication of the loaves and fishes and also Jesus’ conversation with his Disciples that He would make them fishers of men. Today the sign of the fish is a sacred and conscious symbol of Christian witnessing and the bold intersection of the Christian cross makes this remarkable pendant even more demonstrative.
