This circa 1940’s heart-shaped brooch has a reverse-painted, iridescent tropical scene with vibrant and shimmering, azure blue Morpho butterfly wings. The iconic statue is hand-painted directly on the reverse side of the heart-shaped, domed glass casing. Delicately sandwiched between the glass dome and the silver-tone backing are the subtle, but luminous, butterfly wings. Written on the lower right side of this wonderful brooch is the beautiful name of Rio. This iridescent blue brooch has a very rich, undisturbed, natural patina and will be a stunner on every outfit!
