Each of these handsome and elegant cufflinks have an oxidized, silver-tone, Paise coin with the National Emblem of the Republic of India affixed to a cuff link base. The quadrangular square-shaped coin has a replica of the Sarnath Lion Capital of Ashoka with four Asiatic lions (the fourth is hidden from view) standing back to back, sitting on a circular pedestal, to symbolize power, courage, confidence and pride. To the right of the coin is the beautiful name, India, and to the left, is the name भारत ("India") written in Devanāgarī script (Hindi). The Naya Paisa (plural: “Naye Paise”) was a unit of currency in India that is now demonetized.
