This is a stunning, blue morpho butterfly wing, heart-shaped panel-linked bracelet with hand-painted, tropical beach scenes, complete with windswept Divi-Divi trees. The Divi-Divi tree is a windblown, evergreen tree with fragrant blossoms and branches that always point to the west and is a national symbol of the ABC Islands, Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao.

This circa 1940’s heart-shaped panels bracelet has six, chain-linked, reverse-painted, iridescent Dutch Caribbean scenes with shimmering, electric azure blue Morpho butterfly wings. The vibrantly colored tropical scenes are hand-painted directly on the reverse side of the heart-shaped, domed glass casings. Delicately inserted between the glass domes and the silver-tone backings are the subtle, but luminous butterfly wings. Written on the first heart-shaped panel is the beautiful name of an island jewel of the Dutch West Indies, Aruba.
