This traditional Creole woman utilizes a convenient mode of rural transportation, her faithful mule, all while riding side-saddle, and beneath her is a hand-etched name of abundant pride, Haiti. This terrific brooch shows signs of wear and aging, including a few scratches and nicks. This is a delightful depiction of a traditional way of life of the West African diaspora of the Caribbean in this very adorable brooch!
