Fabulous and folkloric, Chilean, storyteller, 6-panel bracelet in heavy gauge metal! Masterfully decorated with traditional images of Chileno pride. Each of the five, elongated O-ring connected, rectangular panels contains an etched, painted enamel “story” of traditional life in Chile.

The first panel contains a traditionally dressed huaso (Chilean cowboy) riding a horse. The second panel contains several copihue (bellflowers that are the national flowers of Chile). The third panel has a guitar, a chupalla (a traditional cowboy hat), a pan flute, the Chilean flag, cowboy spurs, and a tied handkerchief. The fourth panel has mountains just beyond the blue Riñihue lake. The fifth panel, which is in two parts with a box clasp between them to allow easy access to put on and remove the bracelet from the wrist, has an enameled woman and man dancing la cueca, the national dance of Chile, and are dressed in traditional dance finery. The woman is wearing a dress with an apron and the man is wearing a huaso’s sombrero hat, riding pants, and boots.

The bracelet is 7 inches long with an additional 3/4 inch for the clasp, shows signs of wear and aging consistent with its age (specifically, the button on the clasp does not look original to the bracelet and although undetectable to the casual observer, you may want to have it addressed by a reputable jeweler of your choice), it has an undisturbed, natural patina, and was made in Chile. A lovely keepsake of Chilean heritage!
