Adorable charm pendant representing Hialeah, the City of Progress. The City of Hialeah is an American industrial neighborhood with close-knit, predominantly Latino and culturally diverse residents, and is one of the largest Spanish-speaking communities in the continental U.S. Situated in the heart of Northwest Miami-Dade County, this Miami suburb is perhaps one of the most economically successful and welcoming immigrant enclaves in American history. As one of the oldest cities in South Florida, the family-friendly city has a unique blend of cultural heritage and traditions where the hard-working people are proud of their collective ethnicity. Hialeah is home to some of the most incredible Latin restaurants, a burgeoning art scene, Amelia Earhart Park, and the popular discount department store, Ñooo Que Barato!

At the center of this sterling silver charm is a jockey riding a racehorse, evocative of Hialeah Park & Racing Casino, the historic horse-racing track that has greeted the rich and famous of yesteryear and where today, one can find gorgeous pink flamingos, fine restaurants, parimutuel betting and live entertainment.

I’m not gonna lie...I love Hialeah! It’s the only place in the world where I can buy mamoncillos, bottled water and yellow roses, all without ever leaving my car! It is also where I find some of the best café con leche and agua de coco in the greater Metro Miami area, and where I can speak Spanglish freely without fear of being misunderstood.

This wonderful charm pendant is perfect for anyone who loves, lives in or is nostalgic for the great city that is Hialeah
